March 2015 | Lavender and Tea Tree | KCK Soapery

This week's cold process soap is loaded with skin loving oils, butters and contains Lavender essential oil and Tea Tree essential oil.  This was made for a friend's daughter.  I definitely hope her skin will love this soap recipe.

Ingredients include Coconut Oil, Palm Kernel Flakes, Olive Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Mango Butter and Castor Oil.  I also added activated charcoal, colloidal oatmeal, lavender flowers and essential oils of Lavender and Tea Tree for more skin benefits.

Activated charcoal mixed in with the oils and butters.

Added some lavender flowers for some exfoliation.

After pouring the soap batter into the mold.  I was contemplating leaving it
just like this.

But of course, I had to give it some texture.  So I did a little spoon swirl.

Added more of the lavender flowers for some color.

I allowed the soap to settle for a few days before cutting.  Some of the flowers came off the top of the soap.  I sure hope this recipe would just be perfect for her needs.  Thank you "J" for giving me the opportunity to research and learn more about soap ingredients.

Thank you for stopping by!

December 2014 | Second Hemp Seed Oil Soap | KCK Soapery

Inspired by the son of my hubby's cousin who liked my previous Hemp Soaps and Winterland Soaps.  I made another batch of unscented and uncolored Hemp Seed Oil base soap on Monday.  Did not get the chance to unmold the batch until yesterday.

Freshly poured soaps are just so creamy I had to take a picture of it.

For the batch to look different from the previous one, I gave this a textured top using the back of a spoon.   Hope everybody who tries this soap, will want to use more of it.

Ready for cutting.

Happy Soaping!
