August 2014 | Pumpkin Spice Pie Soap | KCK Soapery

I've been wanting to try full size pies and cake soaps for a long time.  A lot of soapers have yummylicious looking dessert soaps, it was kind of intimidating.  I've braved through cupcake soaps a couple months ago but I finally got the courage to do a pie soap yesterday and I am quite pleased with the result.

Since I already made some Halloween themed soaps I thought of making a Thanksgiving pie soap.  Ingredients include oils of Coconut, Olive, Rice Bran, Palm, Castor, Avocado and Mango butter.  I also added liquid silk and white kaolin clay also known as China clay.

Got the pie out of the mold without any problem.  The thin cocoa powder line is just what I had envisioned.

The cutting part was a little challenging.
Colors used were titanium dioxide for white and Americana red blended with lemon yellow for the pumpkin pie part.

Pumpkin pie part was fragranced with pumpkin spice and the white is fragranced with honeysuckle.

Thank you for visiting.  Happy Soaping!
