February 2020 | Aromatherapy Energizing | KCK Soapery

I made this batch of handmade soaps a few weeks ago using a mold I bought for myself for Christmas and Valentine's!

I always love the look of the soaps made with the dividers.  The different colors are more evenly distributed and not intermingling over each other.

This batch is made using my usual recipe olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, shea butter, mango butter and castor oil. Colors used were purple, teal and pink mica and titanium dioxide for white.

Fragrance used is called Aromatherapy Energizing which is described as an uplifting blend of fragrance and essential oil blend of fresh and airy notes of lemon, garden peppermint, spearmint, wintergreen and floral notes of gardenia, jasmine, and rose.

I also bought a cutter for this batch.

As of the writing of this blog, my cutter and mold are both unavailable.  I will keep an eye for when it will be available and add the link in the next post.

Wet soap after swirling.
I always love the look of wet soap.

The two different cut made by the new mold and the new cutter.

Here is the video of the making and cutting of this mold.

November 2016 | ReLeaf Gone Wacky | KCK Soapery

This batch was inspired by a soap making youtube video I watched.  It is called ReLeaf.  It is supposed to resemble little leaf shapes.

It turned out like it wanted to.  I added the little balls on top to add visual effect in case the main soap does not look appealing.  Fortunately, my son said he liked the color combination and the design.

Oils used were Coconut oil, Olive oil, Rice Bran oil, Palm oil, Mango butter and Castor oil with aromatherapy energizing fragrance oil.  My brother in law love this fragrance.

Colors used were blue mica, activated charcoal for black and titanium dioxide for white.
Titanium dioxide is a natural mineral used to whiten almost anything white.

Sparkly white balls for the top made from melt and pour soap.

Thank you.

April 2015 | Energizing Tilted Zebra | KCK Soapery

Second attempt for the tilted zebra swirl. Scented with "Aromatherapy Energizing" fragrance oil which is described as a spearmint, peppermint, wintergreen, aroma with a faint base note of citrus.

Skin-loving oils used were Olive oil, Coconut oil, Palm oil, Rice Bran oil, Castor oil, Shea Butter, and Mango Butter.

Wet soap.

The soap batter thickened quicker than I had anticipated.  Some of the bars ended up not having the zebra stripes.

The yellow side is a little uneven as well.  I tried to pound the mold down hard as you will see in the video below.  But evidently, the batter was too thick to even out.

Fortunately, I did get some stripes.

Some not striped.  Third attempt in the near future....

Happy Soaping!
