March 2020 | Shave Camo | KCK Soapery

The hubby is missing my camo designed soap so I made this batch for him.  I used the same usual recipe.

Shave and a hair cut fragrance oil is described as a mix of lemon, bergamot, cool mint, lavender, green accord, sandalwood, cedar wood, amber, and musk.  It smells just like walking in to a barbershop!

Enjoy!

March 2020 | Kentish Rain | KCK Soapery

My vision for this batch was a rain drop in the middle but the soap batter got hard fast and did not behave the way I needed it to give me the look I wanted.  It still has a unique look which I like very much though.
Fragrance oil used is described as a fresh and earthy mix of basil, green leaf, ozone, lily, rose,
jasmine, violet, sandalwood, and tonka bean.

Same usual recipe olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, shea butter, castor oil, and mango butter.
Activated charcoal for black, titanium dioxide for white, and blue mica.

My camera ran out of memory in the middle of my designing. You still get to see most of the pouring though.

Thank you for stopping by!

February 2020 | Bridal Shower Giveaways | KCK Soapery

Thank you "I" for thinking of me for your bridal shower giveaways.

We decided to give it a rustic yet feminine look and came up with a flowery kraft paper "I" already have on hand and finished the wrapping by using a lace to tie it all up.

These were made using melt and pour technique sprinkled with dried flowers and scented with Gingered Bergamot described as an exotic fragrance with citrus top notes of bergamot surrounded with nuances of freshly ground ginger combined with notes of Sandalwood, Cedar, Indian Patchouli, and Sweet Basil.

I hope everyone who receives them will love them!

January 2020 | Valentine's Giveaways | KCK Soapery

Thank you "S" for deciding to make my soap as your Valentine's giveaways this year.  As I was searching for an inspiration for this Valentine's giveaways, I came into an article that described this technique as "hybrid" soap.  It is absolutely nice to know that we now have a name to this kind of soap making style.  It is made using both the melt and pour (glycerin) soap and the cold process soap.

This batch is scented with Gingered Bergamot described as an exotic fragrance with citrus top notes of bergamot surrounded with nuances of freshly ground ginger combined with notes of sandalwood, cedar, Indian patchouli, and sweet basil.  The cold process base is made using my favorite recipe which includes Olive oil, Coconut oil, Palm oil, Shea butter, Castor oil, and Mango oil.

January 2020 | Gingered Bergamot | KCK Soapery

This batch is made for a sweet baby girl who just turned one!
Thank you "L"

It is made with melt and pour or also called glycerin soap.  Perfect for when you don't have 4 to 6 weeks of curing time for the cold process soap making. I hope everybody who's going to receive these giveaways will love them.

These are the number 1's just out of the mold.

Made a batch with pink base and white number and vice versa.

Out of the mold.

Scented with gingered bergamot described as an exotic fragrance with citrus top notes of bergamot surrounded with nuances of freshly ground ginger combined with notes of sandalwood, cedar, Indian patchouli, and sweet basil.

January 2020 | Amber Soap | KCK Soapery

I made this batch right after the cut of the 50 Shades Valentine's soap.  This time, I used my usual recipe that never failed me and is chuck full of skin loving ingredients including Olive oil, Palm oil, Coconut oil, Shea butter, Castor oil, and Mango butter.  I also waited for it to harden more by letting the batter sit in the mold for two days before cutting.

Fragrance oil used is described as a rich amber with hints of sandalwood and cedar wood.  Colors were titanium dioxide for white and yellow, pink, and purple mica.

I used biodegradable holographic glitter for some shimmer.

September 2017 | Gingered Bergamot | KCK Soapery

Attempted another butterfly swirl.

This batch needed a little more imagination to visually see the butterflies.

By placing the ends of the soap side by side, you get to see some sort of butterfly silhouette.

As pictured above, my butterfly was a no show at first. After watching other soapers' pictures I noticed that most of them took pictures after placing the bottoms of the soap together.

Scented with "Gingered Bergamot" described to be citrusy notes of bergamot and freshly ground ginger, sandalwood, cedar, Indian patchouli, and sweet basil.

Oils used were Coconut oil, Olive oil, Rice Bran oil, Palm oil and Castor oil.  Butters were Mango butter, and Shea butter.
This batch was swirled by a tool I made from drain pipes with a straw as seen in the picture above on top of the white mold.

Colors used were white (titanium dioxide), yellow and green mica.

Poured most of the white.

Made a green line.

Yellow above the green.

Green batter on top of the yellow.

With the straw on a drain cleaner tool, I tried to make a butterfly swirl. As seen in the finished picture above, I ended up pushing the colors down instead of swirling them.

Above picture was taken after the swirling.

Covered the swirl with another layer of white and drizzled leftover yellow and green on top. The batter was hardening so I was in a hurry, I forgot to take picture of the drizzled yellow and green.

Swirled the top in a figure of 8 pattern.

Off the mold.

And it's cut!

Happy Soaping!
