January 2020 | Gingered Bergamot | KCK Soapery

This batch is made for a sweet baby girl who just turned one!
Thank you "L"

It is made with melt and pour or also called glycerin soap.  Perfect for when you don't have 4 to 6 weeks of curing time for the cold process soap making. I hope everybody who's going to receive these giveaways will love them.

These are the number 1's just out of the mold.

Made a batch with pink base and white number and vice versa.

Out of the mold.

Scented with gingered bergamot described as an exotic fragrance with citrus top notes of bergamot surrounded with nuances of freshly ground ginger combined with notes of sandalwood, cedar, Indian patchouli, and sweet basil.

Thank you for visiting my soapmaking blog!

January 2020 | Love Spell | KCK Soapery

I made a second batch of Valentine's Soap for a friend "S".  Plus, I want to make a successful batch using the new heart embed.  This time, I used my usual favorite recipe which includes Olive oil, Coconut oil, Palm oil, Mango butter, Shea butter, and Castor oil.

Scented with a combination of essential oil and fragrance oil described as a lavishly lush blend of orange, peach, cherry blossom, and white jasmine.

This time, I swirled the top using a skewer.

Only five bars out of eleven ended up being what I want them to look like.  Six bars have their bottom layer stuck on the mold.

Thank you for stopping by!

January 2020 | Amber Soap | KCK Soapery

I made this batch right after the cut of the 50 Shades Valentine's soap.  This time, I used my usual recipe that never failed me and is chuck full of skin loving ingredients including Olive oil, Palm oil, Coconut oil, Shea butter, Castor oil, and Mango butter.  I also waited for it to harden more by letting the batter sit in the mold for two days before cutting.

Fragrance oil used is described as a rich amber with hints of sandalwood and cedar wood.  Colors were titanium dioxide for white and yellow, pink, and purple mica.

I used biodegradable holographic glitter for some shimmer.

January 2020 | First Unicorn Poop Body Butter for the year 2020 | KCK Soapery

Thank you "J" and "S"!

I tweaked my previous recipe a little. Hopefully, they like this one better than the previous ones.  These skin loving body butter is made with shea butter, mango butter, avocado oil and coconut oil.  I added a dash of vitamin E oil and some arrow root powder to minimize the greasiness of the butter.

Fragrance oil used is "Unicorn Poop" described as a rainbow of delicious treats, such as sugared strawberry, sweet peach, ripe raspberry, and cotton candy.  This time, I left most of the butter the natural white and colored some with pink, yellow and purple mica.

Hopefully you guys will like this recipe better!

January 2020 | Valentine's Icing | KCK Soapery

Since this soap batch is an order from a friend "T", I did not play with the recipe and just used my usual tried and tested favorite recipe, which include: olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, shea butter, mango butter and castor oil.

I still played with the scent by using one I have never tried before called "Angel". This is an essential and fragrance oil blend described as an enchanting jasmine touched with the deep sexy notes of musk, patchouli and brown sugar. This blend changed the color of the soap batter into yellow. But a little dose of titanium dioxide lightened it up. Since there is no vanilla content, I suppose the icings are totally safe from morphing. Then, it turned out to be creamy white and the red stayed very nice red.

Now, we are just waiting for the cure and these little icings are going to their new homes!

Thank you for stopping by.

January 2020 | 50 Shades Valentine's Soap | KCK Soapery

Happy New Year 2020!!!

This is my first batch of soap for the new year.  It's made for Valentine's Day and I used a new heart shaped embed I found online.  As you can see in the picture above, the design was good but the texture of the soap was disappointing.  It's what I get for playing with recipes and fragrance oils or maybe I was a little too excited for my first batch that I may have poured the batter too early or removed it from the mold a little early.

Hopefully, I get to post most of this year's soap projects more than last year and that I make a better soap next time.

Ingredients used were olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, rice bran oil, shea butter, castor oil, mango butter and lye.
Colors were titanium dioxide for white and red mica.
Fragrance oil used is called 50 Shades it is described as: a seductive marriage of tained rose and wild geranium with addictive "can't live without it" notes of bergamot and gold amber.

Thank you for stopping by!

April 2019 | Purple Bamboo Lotus | KCK Soapery

This batch of handmade soaps is going to be giveaways in a bridal shower this coming May.  The color motifs include two shades of purple, gray, and white.  When I look into my supplier's site to order for purple mica,  I realized that there are so many more varieties of purple.  I ordered a few to see which would come close to the shades I needed.  The trick is that most of these purple shades are not stable in cold process soap.  So here is to hoping the colors I picked will stay true to what we see in the package.

I sprinkled some glitters on top!

It has been a few days now, and so far I am happy with the colors.  They haven't morphed to different colors or shades so far.  Now, I am just waiting for the curing period to be good to the colors as well.

Thank you for visiting!
